My god, how beautiful. More later, but for now, “bodies of light” will haunt my waking dreams. Thank you Nina; I am beginning to think I would follow you anywhere you decide to go in these mind flights!

Now I want to get Caballero’s book; thank you for the introduction. I like these balances of twos and threes -- I feel them like raptor flight on wind as you point them out in detail, soaring us up and up and across. I also like where the poet chooses to break the line, disrupting the way readers of fiction/nonfiction see a sentence. The sentences are a tether but along the way, my eye catches hard or vulnerable or expansive end words, such as “bullets”, “rabbits”, “claws” and “measurements”, “secret”, “myth” and “death”.

Brilliant dissection of the poem into its distinctive sections. Loved this post.

Also, just pre-ordered your book. Looking forward to digging in next spring. If you find your way to Chicago as part of your book/promotional tour please let me know. Would love to say hi!
